Installation Art - The Good Room
As an artist, it is the greatest pleasure to create an artwork that pushes you beyond and outside of your comfort zone. Julie Collins, the Creative Director of BOAA18, The Biennale of Australian Art worked with me, to lead me to create an installation work that was a fully immersive fictional recreation of a formal sitting room otherwise known as the colloquial Good Room.
The Good Room was a metaphor for the sentimental value held in ornaments and trinkets that can become family heirlooms. These items are still loved but hold little financial value in our current throw away society.

Podcasing- Because Art Matters
Art Matters.... it really does. Sure, I am biased, I know, and yes it is super easy to go get stuck comparing the need for art to the need for emergency public housing and immanent political and humanitarian issues.
However, art itself is humanities record of existence, co-existence, how we have treated each other and of culture itself.
Join me for conversations, discussions and obsessions about everything to do with being an artist, the changing art-world and industry. I love it all and look forward to sharing ideas with you.
